How to extend the resident permit after studies?
- Some students receive a JOB SEARCH post study residence permit for FREE. Please contact your school student guidance department and ask for your eligibility.
- For students who do not get the FREE service, they can book the following two services from SERS on their own.
After the completion of your studies and receiving the final transcript of records, you can apply for one of the following resident permits through SERS service:
- A job search resident permit for 18 months, in which you can do any kind of job for 18 months and work full time (recommended).
- A resident permit for work (work permit) if you already have a full-time work contract that requires an academic degree and where you are not underpaid compared to the average salary in the market.
Please note that SERS cannot consult you about whether your individual contract is or not acceptable for a residence permit for work and if your salary is an average salary.
If you are interested in one of these two services and you already received the transcript of records, you can contact SERS by email. If you want to do the procedure alone, you can search for the relevant information on the website of the Immigration Office.
