1. What type of Health Insurance do I need?

If you are UNDER 30 years: You can apply for a public or private health insurance, it’s your choice.

If you are OVER 30 years: You must apply for a private health insurance.

Please note that if you have a private health insurance, it must be valid for a minimum of one year at the moment of the application.

2. What type of document is accepted as a proof of health insurance?

For Berlin: You can upload both sides of your health insurance card (public health insurance) or an official membership certificate (public and private health insurance).

For Potsdam: You must upload an official membership certificate which is not older than 3 months (public and private health insurance). No cards accepted.

Please note that if you have a private health insurance, it must be valid for a minimum of one year at the moment of the application.
