What are the steps after starting a process with SERS?

• You receive an email with login details to our online form.
• You can fill out the form and upload the documents requested on the online form, then submit it online.
• We check your form.
• If corrections are required, we request you for correction explaining the error.
• If the file is ready, we prepare your file and submit it to the Immigration Office Berlin OR we request for an appointment from the Immigration Office Potsdam. We receive an individual notification for you by the Immigration Office Berlin (LEA) that you remain legal in Germany and keep your current work rights until a decision is made, even if your actual resident permit expires during the waiting time (given time estimation by the Immigration Office Berlin (LEA) is approx. 6-12 weeks now (12/23).
• We communicate with the Immigration Office Berlin (LEA) in case of doubts regarding your case.
• We receive the final decision by the Immigration Office Berlin. In a positive case, we receive the appointment for you to go to the Immigration Office Berlin OR we receive the appointment from the immigration Office Potsdam with an individual list of documents that you must submit.
