Do we need a blocked account for the job seeker residence permit?

You do not need a block account again but there are further financial means you may use.

For example you may you show a job contract with a minimum monthly net income equal to a monthly payout of a blocked account.

In both Potsdam and Berlin you can also provide an official declaration of financial commitment by a third party in Germany (called Verpflichtungserklärung in German)
