What are my duties once my application file has been sent to the Immigration Office? What documents should I bring to my appointment?

If the process is run by SERS, you should check your emails regularly, inform us about new contact information (phone/address), about any status change (f.ex. you stopped studying, decided to move out of Germany etc), about a new passport issuance or similar.

In Berlin, once the Foreigners Office approves your case and informs us about your appointment, we will send you an invitation email which includes all information about what you should bring to your appointment, but in general there is no need to bring documents again as we submitted them all before. 

In Potsdam, the Foreigners Office send an invitation mail either to us or directly to you stating which documents you need to bring with you to the appointment.
